20,000 Households To Benefit From Yobe Food Distribution

Yobe state government has commenced distribution of food items to twenty thousand vulnerable households across the state.                                                 

Executive Secretary of Yobe state Emergency Management Agency, Dr Muhammed Goje announced this during the commencement of the distribution to the local government areas in Damaturu.

Dr Muhammed Goje explained that, the gesture aims at alleviating the suffering of the groups during the Ramadan fast as directed by the state Governor, Mai Mala Buni.                                 

He pointed out that already, stakeholders committee have been constituted in each of the 17 local government areas to ensure equitable distribution of the items to the targeted beneficiaries.

Items to be distributed includes; bags of rice, vegetable oil, canned tomatoes and fish among others.
