2021 Turning Point In Fight Against Insecurity – Ndume

Senate Committee chairman on Army, Senator Ali Ndume says Army and Airforce will soon take delivery of additional platforms that will change the war against insurgency and banditry, in addition to recruitment of more soldiers to be deployed to theater of operations.

He said 2021 would be a turning point in the fight against insecurity in the county. 

Senator Ndume stated this at a press briefing in Maiduguri, Borno state, against the backdrop of recent successes recorded in a joint military operations in the northwest. 

He commended troops in the frontline for their continued resilience and gallantry despite challenges.

“The Nigerian Army, Airforce and the Navy are also turning out special forces that they have sent on training to various countri, they are now back. We have seen in Borno what one of the officers alone as a special force is doing in the northern part of the state”.

Senator Ndume commended the courage of President Buhari, who in a New Year Broadcast, acknowledged challenges confronting the nation, stressing that this act has renewed the faith of Nigerians towards his (Buhari) administration.

He urged the President to establish an office for budget implementation and impact assessment to strictly monitor performance and how it affect Nigerians.
