2023 Presidential Election: Nigeria Equity Group harps on inclusion

Nigeria Equity Group (NEG) has thrown its weight behind the resolution of southern governors pushing for a president from the area come 2023.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the leader of the group, Dr. Emeka Nwosu who commended the southern governors said their call was patriotic as the emergence of a southern president would help to strengthen and unite the nation.

Dr. Nwosu added that the issue of religious balancing and peaceful coexistence should not also be overlooked while discussing 2023.

An official of the group, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak emphasised that the most effective way of achieving national stability across the world was through inclusion in political systems.

Alhaji Mubarak commended Northern Governors such as Prof. Babagana Zulum of Borno State and Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State for expressing support for the emergence of a southern president in 2023, describing their actions as nationalistic.
