The Kwara State Government has launched a sensitisation campaign targeting stakeholders across local government areas to promote ease-of-doing-business initiatives and create a more conducive environment for enterprise development.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Kwara State Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Council and Commissioner for Finance, Dr Hauwa Nuru, said the workshop marks a key step in extending state-led reforms to the grassroots.
She highlighted that the state has implemented various strategic projects and regulatory reforms aimed at boosting investment and reducing poverty.
Dr Nuru cited major initiatives such as the establishment of the Kwara Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS) to streamline land acquisition, the automation of construction permits, and the creation of a comprehensive MSME database.
She also noted the domestication of EODB reforms at the local government level, all geared toward removing bureaucratic bottlenecks and stimulating economic growth.
Also speaking, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Kwara State, Abdullahi Danladi, praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his transformational leadership and development agenda.
In her remarks, the Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon Damilola Yusuf-Adelodun, pledged continued collaboration with relevant ministries to unlock economic opportunities across the state’s local government areas.
