A routine Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos on Sunday, August 10, 2025, took a chaotic turn when a passenger, Comfort Emmanson, reportedly refused to follow crew instructions, resulting in a violent confrontation and her removal from the plane.
During the process, her clothes were torn, exposing her upper body, her wig was removed, and she was visibly bruised. Video circulating showed her topless as she was being dragged away from the cabin down to the ground by four people believed to be security personnel.

Naija Feminists Media has condemned the alleged assault, sexual humiliation, and discriminatory punishment meted out to an Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmason, during an altercation on Monday, August 11.
According to Naija Feminists Media, Comfort was forcibly disembarked from an Ibom Air flight following the altercation, during which an air hostess allegedly tore the passenger’s blouse, exposing her breasts.

The Federal Government has dropped its criminal case against Ms. Comfort Emmanson, accused of unruly conduct aboard an Ibom Air flight, and eased the suspension placed on Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, SAN, announced the decisions on Wednesday after meetings with industry stakeholders.

The Niger state police command has arrested an 18-year-old student of the College of Health, Kwamba, Suleja, for allegedly staging his kidnapping and demanding a N50 million ransom from his mother.
The suspect, identified as Moses Amarks, reportedly conspired with friends to carry out the fake abduction in an attempt to extort money from his parents.
Police spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, said the incident was reported to the Maje Division on August 4, 2025, after the victim’s mother received a hidden-call threat claiming her son had been kidnapped.

Akin Olowokere, the newly appointed Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, tragically collapsed and died on Monday morning.
He was among several coaches recently brought into the 3SC fold. Although there are no official statements as to the cause of his death, eyewitnesses informed PUNCH Online that “he slumped on the pitch during the team’s Monday morning training session and was rushed to the hospital.”
