A cross section of residents in Nasarawa State have applauded the ongoing upgrade of fifty-eight primary healthcare PHC facilities across the state to reduce child and maternal deaths
They made their feelings known when a team of Government officials and partners led by the State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Gaza Gwamna visited some communities in five local Government areas to assess the level of work executed under the Immunization Plus and Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Service, IMPACT project.
Some women of child bearing age, Safiya Ibrahim and Aishatu Biliyaminu maintained that quality of health care delivery has improved owing to the availability of commodities and consumables.

The Chairman of Ward Development Committee, Bakin-Rijiya PHC, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulwahab noted that apart from the solar borehole provided by the facility, the staff quarter when fully occupied by health workers will enable women of child bearing age benefit from twenty-four hours services.
Three Officers Incharge of PHCs in Mararaba Akunza, Arumagya and Fatima Yusuf, Kasim Mohammed, Maryam Nuhu and Rabi Ishaka stated that the intervention projects have improved health outcomes in their communities as more women access quality health care for under five children.
In an interview, State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Gaza Gwamna, Executive Secretary of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Doctor Iskilu Usman Saleh and the State Program Manager of IMPACT Project, Hajiya Safiya Ahmed expressed satisfaction with the level of work Carried out in all the fifty-eight health facilities.
