Individuals have been advised to prioritize kidney health by staying hydrated through adequate water intake and maintaining a heart-healthy diet that supports a healthy weight.
The Chairman, Nigerian Association of Nephrology Nurses, NANN, Assumpta Obianuju gave the advised at the 18th Annual Scientific Conference, held in Jos.
Nurse Obianuju emphasized the importance of staying updated on the latest developments and innovations in nephrology nursing to enhance patient outcomes in renal Care.

Also speaking, the Provost, Plateau State College of Nursing Sciences Vom, DR Danlam Sambo congratulated the organiser of the conference, noting that there has been an increased rate of kidney infection in the society,emphasizing the need to leverage technology to tackle the issue.
The Director of Administration, Heritage Kidney and Medical Care, Dr. Simon Musa said treatment of kidney disease in Nigeria is expensive and underscored the need to train more nephrologists and nurses in innovative management techniques.
The Chief Medical Director Dr Pokop Bupwatda represented by Dr. Anna Gyang highlighted the value of scientists keeping abreast of new healthcare developments and mentoring younger professionals in the ethics of their field.
Dr Bupwatda advised scientists to document their research for global benefit and urged nurses to uphold mutual respect in their professional duties.
