The Federal University Teaching Hospital, FUTH, Lafia, Nasarawa State, has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with Radio Nigeria Precious FM to promote its contributions to the development of the health sector.
Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Ikrama Hassan, pledged during a courtesy visit by the executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Precious FM Chapel, to his office in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Dr. Hassan, who emphasized the hospital’s dedication to transparency and effective public engagement, also noted that the collaboration with the media would help highlight FUTH Lafia’s medical achievements, health initiatives, and community outreach programmes.
He maintained that partnering with Radio Nigeria Precious FM would play a vital role in amplifying the hospital’s message and strengthening its connection with the community it serves.
While commending the NUJ Precious FM Chapel for the visit, Dr. Hassan urged journalists to uphold accuracy and professionalism in their reportage.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of NUJ Precious FM Chapel, Mr. Jerry Ajegena, represented by the Vice Chairman, Mr. Amegwa Arigye, explained that the visit was aimed at deepening the existing relationship between the hospital and the station.
Mr. Ajegena assured the CMD that Radio Nigeria Precious FM would continue to provide comprehensive coverage of the hospital’s activities to keep the public informed about its medical milestones and overall success story.
