A total of 60,000 graduates will receive various certifications and degrees from the university of jos.
9,236 are diploma graduates, 37,741 will receive first degrees, and 13,023 will receive post-graduate degrees from the university of jos.
The Vice Chancellor University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya made this known during a Press briefing ahead of the 35th & 36th combined Convocation Ceremonies and Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

Professor Tanko Ishaya noted that the University has grown significantly, from having four faculties between 1975 and 2015, to now having 17 faculties and offering 93 academic programmes.
The VC also announced that the university has executed several projects and established new programmes and facilities, showcasing its growth and development.
Professor Ishaya added that through the university’s networking, partnerships, and expertise, Plateau State has been selected as one of six Technology Centres of Excellence.
The VC also stated that in Nigeria, 51 universities earned a place in global rankings, with the University of Jos standing prominently among the top 9.
The Convocation will feature Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, as the guest speaker. The grand finale takes place on Saturday.
A minute’s silence was observed in honour of the eight University of Jos students who lost their lives in a fatal road traffic crash that occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday in Jos.
