The State Commandant, Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, disclosed this during a briefing at the Command’s headquarters in Lokoja.
He said the deployment covers all parts of the state and was aimed at strengthening security before, during and after the Christmas celebrations.

According to him, all national assets, critical infrastructure and identified black spots across the state are under close surveillance to forestall vandalism and other security breaches.
He commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his continuous support in complementing the efforts of conventional security agencies, saying the measures put in place by the state government are already yielding positive results.
On VIP protection, he assured that the Command has adequate manpower and logistics to effectively carry out its responsibilities and meet all security demands during the festive season.
