The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has decorated 135 officers and men recently promoted in the service, with a call on them to continue to exhibit a high sense of professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of their duties.
The State Commandant, Mr. Aletan Ebenezer, gave the charge during the decoration ceremony held in Lokoja.
He reminded the newly promoted personnel that promotion comes with increased responsibility, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining committed, disciplined and dedicated to service.

Commandant Aletan attributed the successful promotion exercise to the proactive leadership of the Commandant-General of the Corps, Professor Ahmed Audi, whose efforts, he said, are aimed at boosting the morale of officers and men who are due for advancement.
He also commended the collaborative efforts of security agencies in the ongoing operations against banditry and other criminal activities in the state, assuring that the synergy would be sustained.
In his remarks, the Special Guest of Honour and Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Kankarofi, congratulated the promoted officers and charged them to remain loyal, dedicated and steadfast in the fulfillment of their constitutional mandate.
He reaffirmed the commitment of security agencies in the state to work together towards ensuring a safer Kogi State.
Heads of other security agencies present at the event also pledged continued cooperation in the fight against crime and criminality across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, the Command Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Aliyu Abdullahi, expressed appreciation to the Minister of Interior, the Commandant-General of NSCDC and other relevant stakeholders for the successful conduct of the promotion exercise.
He pledged the continued loyalty and allegiance of the officers to the Corps and the nation.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of letters of commendation to officers and men who have distinguished themselves through exceptional performance in their various duty posts over the years.
