Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has ordered the demolition of a facility in Idoji community, Okene Local Government Area, following intelligence reports that it was being used by criminals as a hideout.
The governor gave the directive during a visit to the area as part of his administration’s renewed efforts to crack down on criminal activities across the state.
He stressed that there would be no safe haven for criminals anywhere in the state.
Governor Ododo explained that the abandoned state of the facility made it vulnerable to occupation by criminal elements, posing a serious threat to public safety and necessitating immediate and decisive action.

He also directed security agencies to intensify clearance and surveillance operations across Okene and other parts of the state, with instructions to dismantle all structures being used to aid criminal activities.

The governor urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information, emphasizing that security was a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of all citizens.
