Over One billion naira has been spent on the accreditation of various courses for the Plateau State University, Bokkos.
This was made known by the State Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the 8th and 9th Combined Convocation Ceremony of the institution, held at the University’s Convocation Ground.
In a speech Governor Mutfwang while reiterating his administration commitment to advancing the education sector, pledged continuous support in developing the academic potentials inherent in the institution.

Mutfwang stressed that education remains the cornerstone of individual fulfillment and national development charged the graduates to view convocation not merely as a celebration of academic success but a celebration of resilience, excellence, and the harvest of years of intellectual labour.

He added that, Government has approved the construction of internal road networks within the campus in addition to commencing the process of converting the Special Intervention Project opposite the University into student accommodation.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Shedrach Best highlighted the massive improvement in the institutions academic programmes, performance, enrollment and physical structures, however noted that more efforts were needed in transforming the institution into a global education citadel.

Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor William Qurix, acknowledged the continuous support and understanding of council in executing various projects in the institution, called for greater collaboration for the actualization of the University’s mandate.

The 8th and 9th combined Convocation ceremony of the institution witness the conferment of two Honourary Degree Awards to distinguished individuals while 2,453 graduands were convocated with 22 graduating with 1st class Honors.
