His eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar, has declared tomorrow, Wednesday, the 18th of February, as the first day of Ramadan 1447 AH.
In a statement signed by the chairman Advisory Committee on religious Affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu, says the Sultanate Council in conjunction with the National Moon sighting Committee received information confirming the sighting of the new crescent.
His eminence the Sultan fecilitate with Nigerian Muslims and wishes them Allah ‘s guidance and blessings.
