The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Nasarawa State Chapter joins the global community in celebrating the 2026 International Women’s Day, themed “Give to Gain”.
This year’s theme emphasizes the importance of investing in women and girls, recognizing their contributions to societal development, and promoting gender equality.
NAWOJ Nasarawa State Chapter acknowledges the progress made in advancing women’s rights and empowerment but notes that challenges persist.
The Women Journalists appealed to Government at federal and state levels and stakeholders to prioritize gender-responsive policies, ensuring access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and leadership positions for women.
As women journalists, we are committed to promoting gender-sensitive reporting, amplifying women’s voices, and advocating for women’s empowerment.
Together, let’s give to gain – invest in women, empower communities.
