The Kogi State Government has assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) of sustained collaboration to ensure the scheme achieves its objective of promoting national integration.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Monday Anyebe, gave the assurance while receiving the newly appointed NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Chris-Moneke Chika, in Lokoja.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Momoh Azizz Steven, the Commissioner said the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains committed to the growth and development of the scheme in the state.
He noted that over the years, the synergy between the Ministry and the NYSC has significantly contributed to youth empowerment and community development across Kogi State.
Mr. Anyebe congratulated the new Coordinator on her appointment and assured her of the state government’s full cooperation and support.
He described her new role as a significant responsibility and an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
The Commissioner also appreciated the outgoing State Coordinator, Mr. Femi Osungbohun, for his commendable service, emphasizing that the Ministry recognizes the vital role of the NYSC in fostering unity, discipline, and patriotism among Nigerian youths.
