Abaribe Dumps PDP, Resigns as Minority Leader

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and resigned as the senate minority leader of the National Assembly.

Abaribe confirmed his exit in both the party and the Senate in separate letters to the PDP in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State and the President of the Senate in the National Assembly.

The former minority leader had earlier withdrawn from the PDP governorship primaries scheduled on Wednesday, citing an imaginary delegates list and lack of transparency as reasons for his withdrawal.
