About Two Hundred Houses Submerged by Flood In Kwara State.

At least Two Hundred households have been submerged with water and the inhabitants displaced by flood disaster in Jebba, Moro Local Government of the State.

This was disclosed by the victims and people of the area when the State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi paid a sympathy visit to the area.

Mr Alabi who delivered consolation message of his Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the people, gave an assurance that the victims would be given palliative and other necessary support to address their hardship.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, the leader of the Yoruba Community in Jebba, Abdul-Azeez Arisekola explained that the annual flood disaster has overtaken over two hundred houses and has also brought about unimaginable hardship to the people of the area.

Mr Arisekola therefore appealed to the Kwara State Government to urgently relocate the people in the community to a safer place where they could be living peacefully.
