APC Chieftain Denies Obtaining Interim Court Order To Take Over As Secretary

The All Progressives Congress APC National Vice Chairman North East, Mr Mustapha Salihu has dissociated himself from an interim court order nominating him as the Acting National Secretary of the party.

In a telephone interview with journalists in Abuja, Mr Salihu said he was not a party to the suit and knew nothing about it.

The APC’s national vice chairman said there was no way he would have been part of the so-called interim order when he was at a meeting of the party’s stakeholders from the North East during which the decision was reached to nominate and endorse Architect Waziri Bulama as the acting national secretary of the party.

He explained that his zone has already nominated Architect Waziri Bulama in the presence of the Senate president, APC governors from the zone and other party stakeholders as the Acting National Secretary and had no reason to obtain a court order to act as National Secretary.

Mr Salihu said at a time like this when the party was going through trying times, what was needed was for all lovers of the party to come together and find solutions rather than inflating the crisis.
