Bauchi state government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Yelwa and its environs.
This followed crises that resulted in the death of one person and four others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Some miscreants on Friday evening took laws into their hands and embarked on looting properties, burning houses and cars as well as attacking innocent citizens.
A statement by Chief of Staff Government House Dr Adamu Hassan Gamawa says the curfew affected Lushi , Tsakani, Kagadama, Birshi all in Bauchi LGA.
The statement explains that is not intended to cause hardship to people of the affected communities but ensure peace and order.
According to the statement, government will not fold it arms and allow some criminal elements and their sponsors to disrupt the peace, security, and harmony being enjoyed in the state.
