Ebonyi Govt Shuts Illegal Motor Parks

Ebonyi State Government has ordered the shutdown of unapproved motor parks within Abakaliki, the state capital.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Capital Territory Development, Mr. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi explains that the decision was part of undercover security precautionary measures to check the movement of criminals, arms and ammunition.

Mr. Nwaebonyi explained that the Government and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) were in agreement to ensure strict compliance with the order noting that vehicles found at illegal motor parks would be impounded.
