The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN has been applauded for sustaining its status as the flagship of radio broadcasting in the country.
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari gave the commendation while hosting the management of FRCN North Central Zone led by the Zonal Director, Mallam Haruna Idris at his palace in Ilorin.
Dr Sulu-Gambari said as a former judge of the federal high court, he knows the important roles the media is playing in the society especially the radio which FRCN has been a trail blazer.
He thanked Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian for a good representative of Radio Nigeria in the state through quality news and programmes.
Earlier, the Zonal Director FRCN North Central Zone, Mallam Haruna Idris said that Radio Nigeria is always responsive to its environment and remained committed to a harmonious society which is to Uplift the People and Unite the nation.
Mallam Idris commended the Emir of Ilorin for being a father to all and assured him that FRCN remains committed to objective and balance reportage .
Also speaking, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Harmony FM Idofian, Alhaji Abdulmualiy Olanrewaju Adegboyega who extolled the virtue of Emir of Ilorin said that the station has been working towards maintaining a peaceful and progressive Ilorin and Kwara State at large.
The Zonal Director’s entourage include general managers of the five FM stations under the zone which includes Harmony FM Idofian, Precious FM, Lafia, Harvest FM, Makurdi, Prime FM Lokoja, Highland FM Jos and other top management and staff.
