FG inaugurates committee for 61st Independence Anniversary

The Federal Government has inaugurated a twelve-man Inter-Ministerial Committee to ensure a successful celebration of this year’s 61st Independence Anniversary.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Chairman of the Committee, Mr Boss Mustapha stated this at the inauguration of the committee in Abuja.

Mr Mustapha said it became necessary for the committee to come up with a cost-effective and befitting Independence Anniversary.

Mr Mustapha gave the terms of reference for the committee; to plan, organise and execute all approved activities towards a befitting 61st Independence Anniversary.

Also to document for posterity all planned activities for the Anniversary.

A member of the Committee and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo said activities for the Anniversary will include rollout of Nigeria’s Documentary at 61, Special Award ceremony and photo exhibition.
