The International Centre For Migration Policy Development, ICPMD is to collaborate with the Nigerian immigration service in the area of training and capacity building to boost the morale of its personnels.
The Head International Centre For Migration Policy Development, West Africa office, Mrs. Mojisola Sodeyinde made this known during the signing of MOU and inauguration of steering committee of the project held in Abuja.
Mrs Sodeyinde said that in view of the challenges faced by the Nigerian Immigration Service, the project became imperative to reposition the service for greater efficiency in line with international best practices.
Ambassador of Denmark to Nigeria Ambassador, Sune Krogstrup said the partnership would strengthening Nigerian immigration service to manage and facilitate cross border movements.
While innuagrating the Steering Committee for the Project, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola expressed hope that the projects will help to strengthen the institution capacity of the service through technical support.
The Minister assured that the Federal government would continue to strive to provide enabling environment for its foreign partners.
