FG, USAID partner to develop key sectors

United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is to partner with the Federal Government to develop key sectors for the overall development of the country.

Deputy Chief of Party State2State project Mr John Onyeukwu who stated this at the just concluded workshop on Accountability, Transparency and Effectiveness project in Abuja said the project with a five-year span from 2020 to 2025 was to promote transparency and inclusion in public finance management.

Mr Onyeukwu who noted that the project would help state governments in the country to develop the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework MTEF for the next five years maintained that the focal states of Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Gombe, Sokoto have all expressed their readiness to ensure the success of the project in their states.

Participants at the workshop agreed that adoption of the USAID State-to-State project was a sure way to develop the mostly neglected grassroot of the country.
