The entire Hannover 96 team in Germany is in quarantine and the club have asked the Deutsche Fubball Liga to suspend their next two fixtures.
Hannover defender Timo Hübers became the first professional player in Germany to test positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday.
Who declared the virus a pandemic on Wednesday, for the first time since the outbreak in January.
Things have now escalated, though, with Jannes Horn, a German footballer who plays as a defender for Hannover 96 also testing positive.
With two of their players carrying Covid-19, the club have now sent the remaining of the squad home for self-quarantine.
They have also requested that upcoming games to be suspended.
