Governor Abdullahi sule of Nasarawa state has for equal representation of the state indigenes at the federal ministries, departments and agencies.
Governor Sule made the plea while playing host to Commissioner representing Nasarawa state at the federal Character Commission who paid him a visit at the government house lafia
Commending the Commissioner representing Nasarawa state at the federal Character Commission, governor Abdullahi sule explained that the state is under represented in the employment opportunities at the federal ministries, departments and agencies, calling on the Commissioner to work hard in ensuring that the state get it’s rightful position.
Governor Sule assured of the state government readiness to support the state office of the federal Character Commission to enable them perform their duties as expected, promising to extend same gesture to other federal government establishment across the state.
On his part, leader of the delegation and the Commissioner federal Character Commission Barrister Mamman Alakayi explained some of the Commission’s mandate to include ensuring equitable distribution of aminities as encapsulated in the Constitution.
Barrister Alakayi promised to work assiduously towards ensuring that Nasarawa state is not under represented in any federal appointments,as he commended Governor Abdullahi sule’s leadership style which is geared towards industrializing the state to enhance economic growth and development.
