Gov Sule Donates 5 Million Naira To Families Of Fallen Heros

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has presented cash donation of five Million Naira and food iterms to legionares as part of activities to marked twenty-twenty one arm forces rememberance Day.

The governor gave the donation during the Emblem appeal fund’s raising in lafia the State Capital.

Governor Abdullahi Sule said the occasion provided opportunity to pay tributes to the fallen heros who have paid sacrifice to depend the integrity of the nation and humanity.

He said the event is a period for sober reflection on the struggle of the gallant officers and men of the arm forces in upholding peace, unity of the country and explained that there is need for collective efforts to reciprocate the gesture of the fallen heros who sacrifice their lives to protect the territorial integrity of the nation

Governor Sule noted that the fallen heros did not only participate in first and second world war but actively engage in various peace keeping across the world.

Chairman Nigerian legionares Nasarawa State Chapter Hamidu Almajiri said the event was to Mark the end of the civil war and to honour the fallen heros who fought gallantly that brought Nigeria to indivisible and peaceful nation.

Hamidu Almajiri stated that families of the gallant officers who sacrifice thier lives to protect the integrity of the country needed support to cater for members of thier families expecially as a result of hardship Occasioned by the Covid nineteen pandemic.

Correspondent reports that Prayers were offered at the juma at mosque for the repose of the fallen heros who loss thier lives during the gallant war and inter denominational Church service.
