Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has warned non indigenes from other states against organizing end SARS protest in the State.
Governor Sule gave the warning during the Inauguration of seven man judicial Commission of inquiry into the activities of Special Anti Robbery Squad FSARS, and other related matters in the State.
Inaugurating the seven man Commission of inquiry at the government house lafia, governor Abdullahi Sule said it is dishatining that even when the concern police unit was dismantle by the Inspector general of police,but the protest affears to be continued.
Governor Sule explained that the incessant end SARS protest across the country within few weeks distract the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari expecially at the time when Steady progress and development is being recorded.
The State governor pointed out that Nasarawa state has recorded succes as a result of activities of SARS and identified some of thier weaknesses, but would not condone any form of protest under the canopy of end SARS expecially in Karu and keffi local government areas.
He Said the Commission of inquiry Constituted was the upshot of the National economic Council meeting presided over by the Vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo that all governors should Constitute the end SARS Commission of inquiry.
The Commission members are guided by the terms of references, to review and investigate Complains on police Brutality or related extra judicial killings, to evaluate evidence and draw Conclusion on validity of Complains, and to recommend Compasation and other remidial measures to the government.
Speaking on behalf of the members of the Commission, Chairman of the Commission Retired Chief judge in the State justice Badamasi Maina promised to discharge thier assigned responsibility without fear or favour.
The Commission has six weeks to submit it’s report.
