Gov Sule Meets Leadership Of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Over Killing Of Its Members.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa has held an Emergency meeting with the National leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore over the recent bombardment that led to the killing of about forty Herdsmen in the Rukubi community of the Doma local government area of the State.

Briefing journalists shortly after the meeting at government house lafia, governor sule said the meeting was to ensure calm in the area and prevent escalation of the incident.

The emergency meeting summoned by governor Abdullahi Sule with the National president Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo and some Fulani leaders in the state following the killing of about forty herdsmen and fifteen others injured presently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting, governor sule sympathizes with the families of the victims, describing the incident as unfortunate and giving an assurance that his administration will take the matter up with relevant security agencies to unravel what happened.

The State governor explained that he is working closely with governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state to ensure the return of lasting peace in Borders communities between the two states, also revealed that governor Ortom has agreed to release over two hundred cattle arrested in the state for violation of the Anti open grazing law free of charge.

National president Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo expressed dismay with the establishment of the Anti open grazing law in Benue state which he said, had led to the loss of lives and property.

Alhaji Bodejo appealed to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state to review the Anti open grazing law in the state to allow for peace to rain.

The State Commissioner of police Mohammed Baba said proactive measures have been taken to prevent reprisal attacks and restore calm in the area.

On Tuesday this week, about forty herders were killed by a suspected bomb attack in Rukubi, Doma local government area of Nasarawa state after paying ransom for their cattle arrested by the Benue state government as a result of Anti open grazing law in the State.
