Gunmen abduct Plateau Deputy chief of staff’s wife

Suspected Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Dorcas Vem, Wife of Silas Vem, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor of Plateau State.

Dorcas Ven, a staff of the University of Jos was said to have been abducted on Monday at their house very close to the Plateau state new Government House in Little Rayfield in Jos Government House.

Dorcas was driving back to their house after dropping her child in school when some gunmen accosted her in front of their gate and forcefully dragged her out of her vehicle, and took her away to an unknown destination.

The spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command ASP Gabriel Ubah, when contacted, said the Command was aware of the abduction of the wife of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor saying that efforts were being made to rescue her.

A source from the Government House however said that since the abduction, nothing has been heard about the whereabouts of the victim and her destination remained unknown.
