Another police station has been set ablaze by gunmen in Imo state.
The police station, located in Ehime Mbano LGA, was burnt down on Tuesday afternoon.
Imo police spokesperson Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the attack to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
He said there was no casualty on the part of police and no loss of arms, but that three vehicles were burnt.
The police command headquarters and a correctional service centre in Owerri, Imo state capital, were attacked in the early hours of Monday.
Officials said 1800 inmate were freed during Monday’s attack.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbanjo and Minister of Interior, Agbeni Rauf Aregbesola have both visited the facilities and promised more security as well as amnesty for an inmate who returns voluntarily.
