The station was inaugurated on the 6th of November, 2009 by the, then Minister of Information, Dr. Dora Akunyili.
The major language of broadcast English, with Hausa and some local languages thrown in here and there.
Some of the Station’s star programmes include:
“AREA” – A pidgin comedy-current affairs Live phone-in programme. Monday-Friday 11:05 to 12:00pm
“VOICE OUT FOR A BETTER PLATEAU” – A governance-based Live programme with studio guests. Tuesdays 9:05 to 10:00am
“HAUSA BA DABO BA” – A Hausa proverbs question and answer Live phone-in programme. Saturdays 12:00 to 1:00pm
“MURYAR BISHARA” –A Christian religion programme. Preaching by renowned Evangelist Dalhatu Abdu. Sundays 3:30 to 4:00pm
“SOCIETY FOR ALL” – A programme that focuses on people living with challenges (disabilities). Tuesdays 3:30 to 4:00pm
