INEC Commenced Distribution Of Sensitive To LGAs Ahead Of Saturday 11 Elections

Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 13 Local Government Areas of the state for the Saturday 11 Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Addressing newsmen after inspecting the materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN office in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state Dr Uthman Ajidagba said the step was to allow the timely commencement of the elections on Saturday.

He stated that by Friday it was expected that sensitive materials would arrive at the various Registration Area Centres across the state for sorting out according to their polling units.

Dr Uthman Ajidagba however pointed out that officials who were found wanting during the Presidential and National Assembly elections would not be allowed to participate in the Governorship and House of Assembly polls.

The sensitive materials were distributed in the presence of security personnel, leaders of political parties, and foreign observers.
