INEC In Kogi Begins Sensitization Tour Ahead Of December Polls

The kogi state Independent Electoral Commission, KOSIEC, has embarked on sensitization tour across the 3 senatorial district of kogi state ahead of the December 12 twenty twenty local government election.

At kogi central senatorial district, the Chairman KOSIEC Mr Mamman Eri said the sensitization tour was to enlighten the electorates on the need to exercise their franchise come December 12th as the election is pertinent to the development of the grassroot.

Mr Eri said there was need for collaboration between the commission and the electorates to ensure peaceful election.

He said as a umpire saddled with the responsibility of conducting the polls, KOSIEC would ensure a level playing ground for all political parties and aspirants.

Also at the Kogi west the Chairman appealed to the stakeholders to give their maximum support by enlightening their suppoters on the need to participate in the coming election and conduct themselves peacefully as it behooves on them to elect their representative.

Responding, the Director of Local Government Kabba bunu local government Hon . Emmanuel Olefemi commended the commission for making out time for the sensitization tour and promised that the Local governments would give their maximum support to ensure a peaceful election.
