Judicial Workers Embark On Strike

Judiciary workers have embarked on an indefinite nationwide strike to demand for financial autonomy and other rights for the judicial administration in the country.

The appeal by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to shelve the industrial action, considering the COVID-19 guidelines and constraints could not stop the strike action.

Some workers of the Supreme Court Abuja could not gain access, as they intended to resume duties after the Easter holiday.

The nationwide action is to be replicated across the states of the Federation.

However, Edo State judiciary workers are not observing the strike, slated to commence today, April 6th nationwide over non-implementation of financial autonomy of the Judiciary
