Kaduna Assembly Warns School Contractors To Complete Projects

Kaduna State House of Assembly Committee on Education has warned run away contractors handling some projects in public schools to ensure completion or face the wrath of the law.

Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Sulaiman Ibrahim Dabo gave the warning during an interactive meeting with some leaders of agencies and parastatals of the state ministry of education.

He lamented that some contractors at the Ministry Education vacated their project site without completion.

Alhaji Sulaiman Ibrahim Dabo said the essence of the meeting was to ascertain the level of performance of department, agencies and parastatals in the area of budgetary allocation and implementation.

In an interview, the budget officer Kaduna State university, Malam Badamasi Muktar Shika said despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the university was able to achieve thirty one percent of the year twenty twenty budget.

The MDAS attended the interactive are Kaduna State University, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria, Kaduna state Universal Basic Education and Kaduna State Teachers Service Board.

They pledged to work together for the progress of the state education sector.
