KOGI: Gov. Bello Signs CUSTECH OSARA Bill Into Law….Promises Timely Take off

The Kogi State Government has signed into law the bill establishing the Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara.

Also signed into law are the bills establishing the Reference Hospital, Okene and Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme.

In his remarks during the signing at the Kogi State Government Lodge, Abuja, Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello said the establishment of the University was in recognition of the role Science and Technology play in the advancement of the society.

Governor Bello stated that government would devote all necessary resources to ensure completion and Take off of CUSTECH Osara before the present administration elapsed.

According to him, the Reference Hospital, Okene as well as the Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme would cater for the health needs of citizens and improve healthcare delivery in the state.

Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole disclosed that the bills for the establishment of CUSTECH Osara and Reference Hospital Okene received accelerated hearings haven considered their importance to the state.

Kolawole explained that the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara would provide the needed manpower and research for the transformation of the numerous mineral resources abound in Kogi State.

On his part, Kogi State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Muhammed Ibrahim Sani SAN noted that no stone was left unturned in coming up with the comprehensive draft bills which were sent to the State Assembly for passage.
