Kogi Gov Visits Accident Scene

Federal government is to give urgent attention to repairing Federal Roads across Kogi state.

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello made this known when he visited the scene of the recent explosion involving a tanker in Felele, Lokoja, the state capital where several lives were lost.

Alhaji Bello explained that Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and the Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola had expressed commitment towards ensuring timely completion of the on going Okene-Lokoja- Abaji federal highway and urgent rehabilitation of bad portions of Federal Roads by FERMA.

The Governor sympathized with victims and families who lost loved ones in the fatal accident.

He cautioned drivers particularly of articulated vehicles against reckless driving as he called for sensitization of tricycle and commercial motorcycle riders across the state.
