Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his administration will ensure effective exploitation of the rich mineral resources in Kogi for the benefit of citizens if voted into power.
The APC Presidential candidate stated this at the party’s presidential campaign rally held at the confluence stadium, Lokoja, Kogi State.
Senator Tinubu stated that over the years, all the abundant natural resources of the state had remained potential and that his administration would develop the state’s mineral and agricultural resources, dredge the river Niger as well as resuscitate Ajaokuta Steel company.
The APC flagbearer noted that the Supreme Court ruling to temporarily halt the banning of the old 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes would ease the difficulty currently faced by Nigerians which had been compounded by the fuel scarcity.
He described the loyalty and sacrifice of the party faithful in Kogi despite the hardships as a show of true commitment urging the teeming supporters to mobilize voters massively for the forthcoming election.
In his remarks, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello said that history would be repeated in the 2023 general elections to elect Senator Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima just as President Muhammadu Buhari was elected overwhelmingly by the people of the state.
He assured that the performance of APC in the state would guarantee resounding victory for all its candidates in the 2023 general election.
Alhaji Bello said that the scarcity of fuel, as well as the new naira notes, were the handiwork of saboteurs which led some of the governors to approach the court to reduce the suffering of the people.
The Kogi state Governor reiterated that a vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a vote for infrastructure development, security, revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Complex and Nigeria’s prosperity.
National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu represented by the Deputy National Chairman North Senator Abubakar Kyari explained that the party would not falter in ensuring victory for its candidates in the coming polls.
