Kwara State Governor, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has signed a memorandum of understanding with New Globe Nigeria to improve learning outcomes for primary school pupils across the state.
At a brief ceremony held at the Kwara State Government House, Ilorin, Governor AbdulRazaq said the programme codenamed Kwara Learn is the initiative of a lifetime investments to empower teachers and give public school pupils the best shot at 21st century education, with reverberating effects on future of the state.
He urged people of the state, especially education stakeholders, to support the initiative,which he described as the best investment for future of the Kwara child.
Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu in her remarks said the program was a thoughtful and innovative idea to change teaching method to a modern 21st century digital learning in Kwara.
she expressed optimism that introduction of the new technology to the schools will definitely complement the earlier investments in infrastructural development embarked upon by the state.
Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) Professor Shehu Raheem Adaramaja said the vision of the Government is to improve primary school outcomes through KwaraLEARN by transforming learning in all classrooms and ensuring every child has access to high-quality and well-supported teachers.
Group Managing Director, New Globe Nigeria Mrs Omowale David-Ashiru commended and congratulate the Kwara State Governor for his transformational programmes in the education system.
