Lafia Cargo Airport To Serve As Operational Base For Nigerian Air force

Nasarawa state government says lafia cargo airport will now serve as an operational base for the Nigerian Air force twenty two quick response command for the North central zone.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state stated this while receiving the special Forces operatives deployed to Nasarawa to boost security in the state and the North central geopolitical zone.

Receiving the troops at the lafia cargo airport, Governor Abdullahi Sule showered encomium on President Muhammadu Buhari for his prompt action to tackle insecurity not only to the state but to the entire country.

Governor sule expressed satisfaction that the response team just came three days after the state government called for the federal government assistance, assuring the troops that the state would continue to support them to tackle all forms of criminal activities in the state.u

Addressing the troops at the lafia cargo airport, the chief of Air staff Air Marshall sadique Abubakar urged the troops to be professional in their conduct.

Air Marshall Abubakar who was represented by the Air officer commanding special operations command Charles Ohwo told the special forces that they were deployed to complement the already security architecture on ground in the state.

Correspondent report that the troops were deployed to tackle emerging security challenges such as banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, as well as farmers herders clashes in the zone
