Ahead of the March 18 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Wife of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, Mrs Miranda David Ombugadu has called on women in the state to vote for the party’s candidates to provide an inclusive government for economic empowerment.
Mrs Ombugadu made the call during a meeting with leaders of religious and socio-cultural women groups in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
She stated that women could transform the state by voting to power visionary leaders whose policies are centred on empowering the people rather than self-enrichment.
Mrs Ombugadu called on the women to give PDP the chance at the polls as according to her, the party was committed to securing a better future for children and women in the state.
“My husband is somebody that carries everybody along and you can always access him through me. He will bring a better future for your children, and provide good roads, hospitals and employment for women and youths.
“Ombugadu is a man of his words and whenever he says something, he makes sure he does it and accomplishes that mission.
” I want to assure you that Nasarawa State would be better under Ombugadu because he is prepared to bring the desired change and transformation to the state,” she said.
The wife of the PDP Candidate in Nasarawa State Mrs Miranda Ombugadu visited Women wing of the Igbo Community Association, the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria FOMWAN where she donated a bus and food items to each of the groups.
