Nasarawa State government has ordered for the the immediate closure of Nasarawa State house of Assembly following the death of one member of the Assembly as a result of COVID nineteen in the state.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated this during a media briefing at the presidential lodge lafia while updating people on the new confirmed cases of the disease in the state.
According governor Abdullahi Sule the closure of the state Assembly has become necessary following the death of member representing Nasarawa central Adamu Suleiman Ibrahim who died of COVID nineteen.
Governor Sule explained that all members of the state Assembly have agreed to go on isolation and their samples taken for testing.
On the new cases of COVID nineteen in the state, governor Sule said nine cases have so far been confirmed including the late member of the state Assembly Adamu Suleiman Ibrahim.
Other confirmed cases include three out of the twelve samples tested from the Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, one from Keffi FMC and one from Lafia.
The state governor therefore called on people of the state to report any person coming into state farm states that have recorded cases of the virus.
