Nasarawa State Government has commenced training for civil servants in the state on Data Processing as part of measures toward economic growth of the state.
Declaring the the four day training opened in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the initiative was part of steps towards injecting new trends emerging in the Information and Communication Technology to enhance service delivery in the civil service.
The governor represented by the state Head of Service Mr Nicholas Aboki said the ongoing reforms of the civil service in the state would be achieved through constant engagements of workers to update them on current situations.
Director General, Nasarawa State Bureau for Information and Communication Technology, Mallam Shehu Ibrahim said over 200 Data Processing Officers drawn from Ministries, Departments and Agencies as the first set of civil servants to participate in the training.
He stated that the training would focus on how to run e – governance and work from home, how to use zoom applications for meetings and data processing in line with the global best practice among others.
