Nasarawa State Govt Approves 14 point 7 Billion Naira For Construction Of Secretariat Complex

Nasarawa State Government has approved over 14 point 7 billion Naira for construction of a state of the art Secretariat Complex.

Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Dogo Shammah announced this while briefing newsmen at the end of an emergency Executive Council Meeting in Lafia.

Mr Dogo Shammah said the new Secretariat Complex if completed, would serve as a one stop shop where business activities of the state government in all the ministries and arms of government would be carried out in one area with ease.

He stated that since creation of Nasarawa State in 1996, civil servants in the state had been working in scattered ministries which according to him does not enhance optimal productivity and efficiency.

According to the Commissioner, the proposed Secretariat Complex which is described as legacy project will be cited along Shendam road in Lafia metropolis and called Three Arm Zone.

Mr Dogo Shammah pointed out that the project had been captured in the 2021 budget proposal.
