Nasarawa State Govt. Donates Vehicles to Army

Nasarawa State Government has donated fifteen security motorcycles, vans and other items worth over one hundred and forty million Naira to the Nigerian Army.

Presenting the items to the One Seven Seven Guards Battalion in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said despite the COVID 19 pandemic, the state government would not relent in supporting the security agencies to perform their duties effectively.

Governor Abdullahi Sule said the donation of the vehicles was necessitated by the need to step up efforts in security surveillance around the interior axis given pockets of cases of kidnappings in some parts of the state in recent times.

Receiving the items Commander One Seven Seven Guards Battalion Keffi, lieutenant Colonel Musa Aliyu commended the governor for the gesture.

He said the vehicles would facilitate their operations at the newly created Military Super Camps in Maraban Udege and Kanyehu Villages in Nasarawa andToto local government areas of the state.

Other items donated include 12 Radio Sets,10 Telephone Handsets, 5 Generating Sets and 100 pieces of Mattresses.
