Nasarawa State government has urged security agencies in the state to sustain the successes recorded recently in tackling insecurity in the state and the North Central region of the country.
Governor Abdullahi Sule was speaking during an expanded security council meeting held at the government house Lafia, the state capital.
Giving preamble to the meeting, Governor Abdullahi Sule appreciated president Muhammadu Buhari and the security agencies in the state for thier doggedness in fighting insecurity across the country.
Governor Sule said he is optimistic that the successes recorded by the joint security efforts to dislodge terrorists in Toto local government area of the state would be sustained to fish out the reminants of the terrorists and other criminals elements across the State.
The State Governor also used the medium to Condoled the families of officers and men of the federal road safety corps over the recent incident along Nasarawa udege loko Road that led to the demise of two offers.
Speaking shortly after the security meeting, the state Commissioner of police Bola longe explained that out of the ten officers of the federal Road safety corps that were kiddnped along Nasarawa udege loko Road four have been rescued through combined security operations.
Mr Bola longe also appealed to residents of the state to give useful information to security agencies to enable them discharge thier duties diligently.
The expanded security council meeting had in attendance executive council members, security chiefs, traditional rulers among others.
