Nasarawa Vacates Over 400 Families Of Dislodged Insurgents

Nasarawa State Government has evacuated over 400 families of insurgents dislodged following the recent military operations in Toto Local Government Area of the state.

The State’s Executive Secretary Emergency Management Agency Mr Zakari Allumaga stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Lafia.

Mr Allumaga said the evacuation followed the failure of the state governors, the captured families of the insurgents were said to have come from to convey them to their respective states.

He stated that, when the captured families who are mostly children of less than 10 years were handed over to Nasarawa State Government by the Nigerian Army for custody, only Niger, Kogi and Bauchi out of 17 states and the FCT sent representatives to convey those from their states.

The state Executive Secretary of Emergency Management Agency noted that over 20 families of the insurgents from Nasarawa State are currently in their custody at the state polytechnic Lafia.
