Nasarawa United Retires Jersey No. Twenty

The Management of Nasarawa United Football Club has retired the Jersey Number Twenty worn by its late player,Chineme Martin’s who died while playing for the club.

Chairman of the Club, Barrister Isaac Danladi stated this during a news briefing with Sports Journalist in Lafia.

According to the Chairman the decision to retired the Number Twenty Jersey worn by late Chineme Martin’s was in honour of the players contributions to the club.

Barrister Danladi noted that the Jersey would also be rested for the 2020-2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

He further explained that the decision would go a long way to comfort the family and fans of the late player.

It would be recalled that the late Chineme Martin’s who donned the Number Twenty Jersey, slumped and died during the Nigeria Professional Football League match against Katsina United on matchday 23,Sunday 8th March, 2020 at the Lafia City Stadium.
